The military pays the bills, but I have fun playing in other situations, too.

I've played with regional orchestras in Kansas, Missouri, and Maryland, served as chairman of International Tuba and Euphonium Conference Competition Committees in 1998 and 2010, and performed in such diverse environments as Blues Alley and the Delmarva Chicken Festival.

Laying it down in the Academy's Chapel with my good friend Travis Siehndel.

I enjoyed my time in Higher Education.

I earned my Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Kansas (ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK!), and was awarded a Doctor of Musical Arts in tuba performance from the University of Maryland in 2012. My teachers include Robert Loffler, Bill Hartman, Scott Watson, Max Bonecutter, Toby Hanks and David Fedderly.
